Fresh off a historic hat trick in the Europa League final and being named the 2024 CAF African Footballer of the Year, Nigerian football star Ademola Lookman recently paid a courtesy visit to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Nigeria’s President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Governor Sanwo-Olu welcomed Lookman at the Lagos House in Marina, later sharing highlights of the visit on X (formerly Twitter). He praised the Atalanta forward for his discipline, focus, and the inspiration he brings to millions of Nigerian youths.
“His journey is a powerful reminder of how far passion, discipline, and hard work can take you. He is focused, grounded, and fully aware of the responsibility he carries as a role model,” the governor wrote. “Thank you, Ademola, for flying the Nigerian flag high and showing the world what we’re made of.”
Lookman also met with President Tinubu, presenting his CAF Player of the Year award and posing for photos with both the President and the Governor in a warm and celebratory reception.
His visit comes at a time when the 26-year-old forward continues to earn national and international acclaim for his stellar performances—both in Europe and on the African continent.
