Manchester City have reached a £46.3 million (€55 million) agreement with AC Milan to sign Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.
The Netherlands international is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Premier League champions. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, personal terms have already been agreed, and only final formalities remain before the move is completed.
Reijnders, 25, is coming off a standout season with AC Milan, registering 15 goals and five assists across 54 appearances in all competitions. His performances earned him the Serie A Midfielder of the Season award, despite Milan finishing eighth in the league.
Meanwhile, City remain active in the transfer market and are in ongoing talks with Wolves over a potential move for left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri, who is valued at £40 million. The 23-year-old has been on City’s radar for over a year, and the club hopes to finalize the signing before the FIFA Club World Cup to bolster Pep Guardiola’s defensive options.
City are also pursuing Lyon’s 21-year-old attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki, who is valued at around £35 million. Cherki scored 12 goals in 44 appearances this season, including two against Manchester United in the Europa League. A key figure in France’s U23 squad that claimed silver at the 2024 Olympics, he recently received his first senior national team call-up and could debut in the UEFA Nations League semi-final against Spain on Thursday.
City’s aggressive transfer strategy highlights their intent to strengthen across multiple positions as they prepare for another demanding campaign across domestic and international competitions.
