Popular Nigerian gospel singer Mercy Chinwo drew a crowd of over 50,000 worshippers in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Saturday during the Twen’Zetu Kwa Yesu concert — a major worship event that brought together thousands of young Christians for a powerful night of praise.
The event, held in the heart of Tanzania, saw an enthusiastic turnout of youth from different Christian denominations, united in a vibrant atmosphere of worship and celebration.
Backed by a live band, Chinwo delivered an inspiring performance, singing some of her most beloved tracks including Overwhelming Victory, Father Eh, Elevated, My Lover, Wonder, Confidence, and her hit song Excess Love.
Reflecting on the experience, Chinwo described it as unforgettable. “The joy, the energy, the love, and the glory of God were truly palpable in the arena,” she said.
Renowned for her powerful vocals and passionate worship style, Chinwo led the crowd through an emotional and uplifting session that deeply resonated with attendees, many of whom traveled long distances to be there.
This concert adds to her growing list of international performances. She has previously headlined events in the UK, US, and several African and European countries.
Mercy Chinwo is signed to GNT Music, a gospel label she co-founded with her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa. The label operates under Grace and Truth Nation (GNT), an initiative committed to spreading the gospel through music, media, and ministry.
In a statement, GNT said, “Beyond entertainment, Mercy Chinwo’s music is a spiritual experience that uplifts, empowers, and rejuvenates the soul.”
