Nollywood actor and social media influencer, Stanley Ontop, has been arrested.
The arrest was disclosed in a post shared on his Instagram story on Friday. According to Stanley, he was arrested Friday afternoon on the premises of Dennis Osadebe University in Asaba, Delta State, where he is currently studying law.
Stanley said the arrest followed a petition allegedly written by an unknown individual. He expressed displeasure over the manner of his arrest, questioning why he was taken into custody on campus without a prior police invitation.
While challenging the school authorities for allowing security operatives to arrest him within the university, Stanley insisted that he had never been invited by the police for questioning.
“Some policemen came to my school this afternoon to arrest me over a petition from an unknown person,” he wrote. “Coming to school to arrest me, the school authorities and the government must be aware of this lawlessness. How can you invade a university to perfect my arrest? What happened to an invitation?”
