Napoli have officially recalled Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen for pre-season training ahead of the 2025/26 Serie A season.
According to La Repubblica, the club has sent a formal call-up asking Osimhen to report to the Castel Volturno training ground on July 15, as preparations begin under new manager Antonio Conte.
Osimhen’s loan spell at Turkish side Galatasaray ends at midnight on Monday, after which he will rejoin Napoli.
The 25-year-old forward departed the club amid controversy following the collapse of a potential transfer to Saudi Arabia, which fell through due to Napoli’s high asking price despite advanced talks.
Osimhen, whose contract runs until June 2026, has a €75 million release clause. He has until July 15 to trigger a move away from the club. Whether he stays to lead Conte’s rebuild or departs for a new challenge remains to be seen in the coming weeks.
