Wike Defends Tinubu, Mocks Critics As ‘Politically Expired

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has sharply criticized those accusing President Bola Tinubu’s administration of underperformance, describing them as “politically expired” and unwilling to acknowledge visible progress.

Speaking during the flag-off and commissioning of road projects in the Ushafa-Bwari area of Abuja, Wike took aim at long-standing political detractors who, according to him, have switched parties multiple times since 1999 yet have made no meaningful impact.

“Let those without vision, those who are politically expired—people who’ve belonged to more than 10 political parties since 1999—open their eyes and see what this administration is doing,” Wike said.

He dismissed claims that nothing is working under the current government, emphasizing that President Tinubu’s efforts are visible nationwide.

“Whether they like it or not, whichever channel they tune to, they’ll see the President in action. Do we have to visit their homes before they admit that progress is being made? Unfortunately, we won’t,” he added.
