Galatasaray VP: We Signed Osimhen Without Selling A Single Player

We worked tirelessly to sign Victor Osimhen without selling any Player ?Galatasaray Vice President

Galatasaray Vice President Abdullah Kavukçu has revealed that the Turkish giants worked tirelessly to secure the permanent signing of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli — all without borrowing money or offloading any players.

The €75 million deal, the most expensive in Turkish football history, includes a 10% sell-on clause and performance-based bonuses linked to Osimhen’s goal tally.

Following an impressive loan spell last season — where he scored 37 goals in 41 appearances and helped Galatasaray clinch the league title — the 26-year-old was welcomed back to Istanbul by thousands of ecstatic fans at Atatürk Airport, waving club flags and chanting his name. In return, Osimhen vowed to repay their support with goals and trophies.

Speaking to Hurriyet, Kavukçu detailed the behind-the-scenes efforts:

My president and I believed in this project and began the process back in January. We worked hard to raise the funds without selling players or borrowing money. A portion is paid upfront, and the rest will be settled within a year. Some people dismissed it as a PR stunt. Now that it’s done, we hope they recognize the effort. The responsibility now shifts to our fans.

Galatasaray is a huge club. We made this happen on our own. For future transfers, we ask our supporters to remain patient and trust in our vision.

Osimhen’s return is seen as a massive boost to Galatasaray’s ambitions both in the Turkish league and in European competitions.
