Nigerian caregiver wanted by Canadian police over alleged assaults at Toronto care home 

Canadian police have launched a manhunt for a caregiver accused of assaulting vulnerable elderly residents at a group home in Toronto. 

According to Toronto Police Service, officers responded to a report of an assault around 9:00 a.m. on December 10 in the area of Sibley Avenue and Dentonia Park Avenue. Investigators allege that the suspect, who was employed as a caregiver at the facility, carried out multiple assaults against residents over the course of November. 

Police have not disclosed the number of alleged victims or provided details about the nature or severity of any injuries. 

The suspect has been identified as Oghenemaro Dave Ejerua, 38, a Toronto resident, who is now wanted on seven counts of assault. He is described as approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, of medium build, with black curly hair and black facial hair. 

Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance and urging anyone with information about Ejerua’s whereabouts to contact police immediately or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
