Obidient Movement Mobilises For Peter Obi’s 64th Birthday Celebration

The Obidient Movement has announced a nationwide rally to mark the 64th birthday of former Anambra State governor and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi. The event is scheduled for Friday, July 19, 2025.

In a statement released on Monday and signed by the National Coordinator, Dr. Yunusa Tanko; Director of Mobilisation, Morris Monye; and Director of Strategic Communications and Media, Nana Kazaure, the group described the rally as more than just a birthday celebration.

“This is an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to good governance, justice, and accountability in Nigeria,” the statement said.

Supporters across Nigeria and the diaspora are encouraged to participate by organizing and joining activities in their respective states. To support the event, four dedicated bank accounts have been set up to fund logistics, media, volunteer kits, and mobilisation efforts. The accounts are jointly managed by Serah Ibrahim, Ezeokoli Blessing (also known as Jack), and John Alor.

A planning committee has also been formed to coordinate activities at both the state and national levels, with the organisers promising transparency in managing all donations and expenses.

“We urge every Obidient to join their local structures and play an active role in making this rally a success. Your participation is key not only for this event but for the future of the movement,” the statement concluded.
