Fatima Buhari, daughter of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has arrived in Daura, Katsina State, alongside close friends and family members, as preparations for her father’s burial intensify.
Also spotted at the Katsina State airport were former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya, who arrived earlier today to pay their last respects.
Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, as well as prominent businessman Aliko Dangote, have also arrived in the state for the ceremony.
The former president passed away on Sunday in a London clinic. His remains are expected to arrive in Nigeria today (Tuesday) and will be buried later in the day at his private residence in Daura, in accordance with Islamic rites.
