The Rivers State House of Assembly has suspended impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Odu.
According to TVC News, lawmakers adopted a motion to halt the process during their resumed sitting on Thursday in Port Harcourt.
The decision follows recent intervention by President Bola Tinubu, who met with Governor Fubara, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and leaders of the Assembly.
