Photos of a short-let apartment allegedly vandalized by disgruntled customers have ignited debate online.
An X user who shared the images claimed that a group rented the apartment for two days. After their stay ended, management reportedly inspected the property and found it severely damaged and left in disarray.
According to the post, several items were destroyed, including a television. When contacted, the individual who rented the apartment allegedly said they were unhappy with the service, claiming there was no electricity overnight, some air-conditioning units were malfunctioning, and they had paid ₦700,000 per day plus a ₦300,000 maintenance fee.
The renter reportedly told management to keep the maintenance fee and use it to cover the repairs, stating they did not want a refund.
The X user questioned whether the apartment managers should involve law enforcement or whether the poor service justified the tenants’ actions.
The post has since sparked widespread discussion, with many arguing that property damage is not an appropriate response to dissatisfaction, while others say service providers must be held accountable for substandard conditions.
