Arsenal players reportedly believe Vinícius Júnior could be on his way to the Emirates Stadium, with fresh reports suggesting there is growing confidence within the club that a deal for the Brazilian forward could be completed.
According to Spanish outlet Diario AS, Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta has informed some members of the squad that the club is pursuing the Real Madrid star, while manager Mikel Arteta has reportedly spoken directly with Vinícius about the role he could play in Arsenal’s future plans.
The speculation comes as the 26-year-old remains in contract talks with Real Madrid. Reports claim negotiations have stalled over salary demands, with Vinícius reportedly seeking wages similar to teammate Kylian Mbappé’s estimated £500,000-a-week deal. Real Madrid are said to have offered a contract worth around £360,000 per week.
The report adds that Madrid are unwilling to exceed their wage structure, maintaining that no individual player is bigger than the club, a stance that has fuelled speculation about the winger’s future.
If a move were to materialise, it would rank among the biggest transfers in Premier League history. Vinícius could also reunite with fellow Brazilian Bruno Guimarães, who has also been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal.
However, neither Arsenal nor Real Madrid has officially confirmed any agreement, and there is no indication that a transfer has been finalised. For now, Vinícius’ future remains the subject of ongoing speculation as contract negotiations continue.
